i look up to two year olds.

do you remember being two? probably not so well, but i'm sure you know few two year olds. they are wonderful. yes they have the 'terrible twos' label, but personally i'm a little envious of them. they know what they want and will do anything to get it. they make new friends daily, sometimes simply because someone else has a really cool toy. why, when we get older, do we all of a sudden need so much more? because we have more life experience and have been exposed to this 'cruel' world? i think that maybe we just make things more complicated than they need to be simply because it seems naive to do otherwise. maybe two year olds have it all figured out. i think we should all be a little more like them. you. me. let's be two.

I agree. :)
Sometimes, I revel in my toddler self and it's glorious. Such as the other day, when it was crappy weather and my car was covered in a thick layer of ice. Instead of going outside and doing grown-up things, I stayed in bed most of the day and watched movies like I did when I was little. Then I played guitar for a long time. Because I loved playing with toys.
I wish it were feasible for college kids to enjoy toddler days more often, but the reality is, there are some complicated means to the end we seek from a college education...
